To join, you’re going to have to register on the forum and then send an email to the following email-address: [yaoirp.net @ gmail.com] to confirm that you’re human (and not a spambot). Don’t forget to send the email directly after registering if you want an administrator to activate your account.

All notifications about new users will go directly to the spam box on gmail due to the sheer amount of spam bots attempting to invade. The only emails we’ll receive are users who actively email us and prove they’re human. ^^; Each week, all inactive users (mostly spam bots) will be deleted from the forum.

I’m officially going to say I’m on vacation / on a leave of absence. Rarely will I go on this site (I’ll probably check in every week or so to make sure things are okay and add any new users to their proper user groups). If you need help or need to get a hold of me send me a pm, leave a question in the help center (although, I won’t answer this until I’m checking up on the site) or send an email (yaoirp.net @ gmail.com -get rid of the spaces) and I will respond to it within a day or two (unless I have no access to the internet- which is highly unlikely).

Oh yeah, and, I’m officially putting all of my rp’s on hiatus (sorry guys). Technically I’ll be around but I’m not going to be rping anymore (for a while). If you want to find the rps you’ve written with me, remember that they’re in the same place they were before (original rps or fandom rps) except in the folder / subforums at the top of the page announcing hiatus.

Keep in mind any of you can easily get in touch with me if you need anything (even if I don’t know you but you’re a member of the site). Don’t be afraid too, I don’t bite… much. XD

Who knows, maybe we’ll bring currency back to the forum some day when there are more people, things to use it on and everything is working properly. :3 For now, though, we’ll just be done with it. ^___^ Besides, I prefer the forum to not be so cluttered up.

2) The downside to all of this is that to get rid of the currency, I had to use back up files and that also got rid of most of the modifications I’d already put on the forum. Yes, that really sucks. I hate that. I even had to make a new portal for the site (which I’m working on now- I’m using wordpress, yay!).

3) Oh yeah, I’m not sure if you’ve noticed it- but I know some of you have. We now have a sister site! XD Yay! It’s called, My Heaven’s Drive. It’s a J-Rock RP site. Yes, like this one, it is mostly yaoi rp’s. For those of you who don’t know what J-Rock is… it’s Japanese Rock Stars! Musicians, yes. They tend to be really hot- like Mana. XP

4) You guys probably didn’t notice this- or care. Most of you probably won’t even understand what I mean when I say this… but, oh well! XD I added a favicon to the forum. You know, the small little logo icon that a lot of websites have. The W for wikipedia… oh screw it. If you really want to know what they are, go look here.

5) Oh yeah, Belated Happy New Years! XD I hope all of you made some good New Year’s Resolutions, I know I didn’t. lmao.

There’s a new administrator!  My name is Ren and I’ve come to the site as the Site’s Technical Advisor/Administrator. Truly an honor, and I hope to help further the site in any way possible. Alright, now that we got that out of the way…

We are pleased to inform you that a new staff member has joined our ranks. Congrats to Jareth for becoming an administrator!

I’m sure you’ve noticed by now that there are a few changes to the forum / site! They’re not minor changes, either, so I’m hoping that you’ve actually noticed them and that this update doesn’t come as a surprise. If it does… well, perhaps you should learn to pay better attention to things around you?

New Modifications:

1) YRP Portal- We finally have a portal for the site. It’s the main page you encounter at YaoiRP.net! It links you to the forum, it tells you about the site, introduces you to staff members and the terms of service. Let’s not forget how lovely it is! xD

You people have better appreciate it, too. It drove me NUTS trying to put it up. II had to upload, install and then uninstall and delete the files to a program I wanted on it five times for it to work properly… and it takes almost an hour and a half to do that ONCE. D:

2) YRP Bills- I’m sure all of you have noticed this. After you’ve posted, you get something called YRP Bills. They show up under the joined date on your old posts and say something like: YRP Bills:1935.72 || Bank: 158 YRP Bills. Does that look familiar? It should. Basically, it means that you get money (a currency called YRP Bills) for every post you make. You get .5 of a YRP Bill for every word. Write a lot of words and you get a lot of money!

What are YRP Bills used for? Well, a lot of things! You can put them in the bank (you get interest for this), buy a lottery ticket (you can win 50,000 YRP Bills), give them to people, buy things from a store (here- and not real items). Soon, I’ll add an arcade (look at the upcoming mods for more info) that you can use them with as well.

3) Quick Reply- This helpful little mod gave me a hell of a lot of trouble. It was simple to put in and it works flawlessly. So then what’s the problem? Well, it had this habit of making the icon for it disappear randomly- or icons for other buttons (like edit, warn, etc). I figured out how to get the button to appear (somehow) but some people tell me they’re still having problems with it. If you’re having trouble with it, please be sure to let me know!

Remember to report any and all errors you find on the forum to one of the administrators!

Upcoming Modifications:

1) Arcade- Yes, you’ve actualy read that right! This goes hand in hand with the cash / points mod I’ve added (the YRP Bills). I’ll be uploading an arcade to the forum for all of you to play games with. What’s the catch? Well, if I get it done right, you’ll have to use your YRP Bills to play a game. Therefore, you MUST keep posting on the forum to play these games. Sound fun? I think so!

2) Chatroom / Message Board- At the bottom of the screen, I am hoping to add a mixture of a chatroom and a message board. It’s kind of hard to explain but I’m sure all of you will like it. It’s kind of like a large chatbox.
